SEASONS OF SOUTH AFRICA
Over most of South Africa Summer time is hot and sunny,
there is often afternoon thunderstorms lasting for a few minutes,
but clears away just as fast, and leaving a warm "earthy" smell
that reminds you your in Africa.
The Western Cape is the exception, they get rain in the Winter.
SA SUMMERS (Mid Oct-Mid Feb)
Winter in South Africa is known to
be dry, sunny crisp days and cold nights,
so remember those warm clothes!!
KwaZulu-Natal and the LowVeld of Mapumalanga and Limpopo offer wonderful winter weather, sunny days and virtually no rain or wind.
Western Cape and Drakensberg usually
get snow this time of year!!!
SA WINTERS (May-July)
Autumn in South Africa is the best time to just relax .
Very little rain falls all over the Country, nice and warm but not too hot,it starts getting colder as this season progresses.
Cape Town is Fantastic in Autumn with hot sunny days with balmy nights good to just relax at the braai with a cold one!!
SA AUTUMNS (Mid Feb-April)
The best place to be in Spring ( is the Cape. Here the grey winter is forgotten as thousands of small, beautiful flowers cover the plains.
The journey to see the flowers of the Namaqualand in the Western and Northern Cape is an annual pilgrimage for many South Africans.
SA SPRINGTIME (August - mid October)
